S Pink Premium Pointer Anyway, moving on ...: "Man and music gonna forge the way." - THePETEBOX
People used to remind me that "not everything's either black or white", but that doesn't mean they don't exist.
Because, where is all that grey coming from?

"Man and music gonna forge the way." - THePETEBOX

It worked. ^^

THIS guy is the one guy who finally got me to set up a PayPal account and pay over a hundred bucks for something that I actually don't even know yet.
The one thing I already DO know is that eventually it's going to be worth every single €, once the project sees the light of day. (But hey, no pressure, Pete. :D )

I tried to pledge for the project since I first heard about it a couple of months ago, but apparently it's not that simple.
When you don't have a credit card you have to set up a PayPal account, connect it to your bank account, confirm your bank account to PayPal and transfer money from your bank account to the PayPal account. It takes time. And to register yourself at PayPal with your online pseudonym (in my case: Bright Pornchaser) doesn't help the process along at all, even if it's just an anagram (Believe me. I tried. X'D ), especially when your bank account runs under your real name.
(Don't fuck around regarding official business, people. It just makes things more complicated than they need to be ... and costs you even more of that precious time of yours.)

Aaanyway, in the end, everything fell into place and I was finally able to pledge for THePETEBOX's new album.
If you're not familiar with his work you're probably asking yourself by now, "What the heck is he even talking about?"
Let me show you.

THePETEBOX is a musical artist from the UK.
Some may call him a beatboxer, but he's way more than just that. Just take a look and listen ...

THePETEBOX, "Panther Dance"

To achieve his distinctive sound he drives his voice through loop pedals and an arrangement of other effect tools, like KAOSS pads for instance. The result can simply be described with one word: amazing.
And I'm not just talking about his cover versions of (amongst others) The Pixies' "Where is My Mind", Nirvana's "Lithium", Basement Jaxx's "Where's Your Head At" or The Beach Boys' "I Get Around", but mostly about his own work like "Shalom", "Crimewave" and "V.O.D.K.A" and more (most of it featured on his "Future Loops" debut album and the "Live > Tape" EP).

Now he's up to something new and different.
For the new 2014 album he's going to sample his voice and play it back via a variation of digital instruments, such as drumpads, to enable him to play around with his sounds in a lot more different ways and make his music even more versatile.

THePETEBOX about the concept of his new album:

To be honest, I'm not that much of a geek when it comes to music, but, nonetheless, I think it's true when he says that we can expect some groundbreaking stuff that's never been done before.
Do I have to point out the obvious and say that I'm really excited about this?
I hope not. :D

If I got you interested, there's a whole YouTube channel and a website full with his work and information about him.
And let's not forget his new album that's going to hit the stores in 2014.
There are still a hundred days left to support and preorder the album via Pledgemusic.com/projects/THePETEBOX, and there're tons of goodies to make sure you get more BOOM for your buck. (I'm actually thinking about a double preorder to get my hands on one of those handwritten lyrics sheets. ... Yeah, I'm a fan and I'm addicted. So what? Sue me. ^^ ... Well, no, please don't. D: )
THePETEBOX is the guy you want to not shut up, yet take your money anyway. XD

I'm gonna leave you with one of my absolute favorites that will hopefully be featured on the upcoming album.
Not a day went by without me listening to this song since I first heard it. Even without knowing the lyrics the sound touched me on an emotional level that's hard to describe.
And isn't that what music is all about?
But now that I know the words, the song has become even more meaningful to me, because I found out that it actually says what I felt all along while listening to it. And how fucking rare is that?

 THePETEBOX, "Gold and Red"
"Oh you live to fight that pain,
Every fucking sore that’s been caused you in your name,
And even though I’m older and running out of faith,
I can see in Gold and Red,
Your colours won’t fade."
(To see the full lyrics go to Pledgemusic.com/projects/THePETEBOX and preorder the album.
It's totally worth it.)

PS: Aaaand I just found out that I missed a live gig in Graz, Austria, last November. -.-°
